DescriptionA man lies lengthways on a long bamboo armchair. He is wearing a light brown dressing gown and slippers. He is holding a white coloured oriental statuette and turning it is his hands with a keen expression on his face. He is surrounded by a large quantity of items including swords, oriental pottery, statuettes and a model of a pagoda. There is an oriental style tapestry on the wall behind his head. Beside the man, on the right, is a French looking white armchair with red upholstery. On the other side is a lacquered chest, possibly Japanese. He has just propped a half filled glass in between the chair and his leg.
